James "Jimmy" Richard  Sanchas, age 49, of Geneva, Alabama passed away Tuesday, August 8, 2017 in Chipley, Florida after bravely fighting a long battle with cancer. He was born August 24, 1967 in Rumford, Maine to parents Arthur and Dorothy (Dot) Sanchas and the youngest of 11 children.  Jimmy enjoyed visiting flea markets, antiquing and gardening. He retired in Geneva, Alabama with his partner Larry Wyant.

He is preceded in death by his parents and two sisters, Mary Jane and Maria Bernadette.

Jimmy is survived by four sisters, Cathy Rand and husband Dick, Maureen Desjardins and husband Jim, Margaret McNeal and husband Bob, Rosie Overton and husband Brett; four brothers, Jon Berkliegh, Larry Sanchas and wife Juliet, Joe Sanchas, Louis Sanchas, and numerous nieces and nephews and extended family members.

Arrangements are under the direction of Magnolia Funeral Home.
