Mr. James David Hinson, age 64, of Slocomb, Alabama, passed away Sunday, October 1, 2017 in Graceville, Florida. He was born September 30, 1953 to parents James Howard "Buddy" and Virginia Hinson. He often enjoyed fishing with his grandchildren, listening to variety of music and watching Alabama football. James also served his country in the United States Army.

He preceded in death by his father.

He is survived by his mother, Virginia Hinson; son, Michael Hinson and wife Mallorie of Slocomb, Al; daughter, Lisa Hinson of Graceville, Fl; step-daughter, Vanessa Davidson of Graceville, Fl; grandchildren, Dalton, Eli, Drake, Mollie, Noah, Scarlett; two brothers, Michael Hinson of Slocomb, Al and Joe Hinson of Hartford, Al; two sisters, Vicki Merrill of Dothan, Al and Susan Walker of Dothan, Al; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, October 4, 2017 at 3:00 P.M. at Malvern Baptist Church, 161 Church Street, Slocomb, Al 36375. Visitation will be held one hour prior to service.
