Frances E. Mangum, "Nana", passed away Saturday, May 22, 2021 in Newton, Alabama at 87 years of age. She was born February 2, 1934 in Knoxville, Tennessee to William and Ada Aplin Evans.
Frances is preceded in death by; her parents, William J. Evans and Ada A. Evans; children, Reverend Larry G Mangum, and William D. Mangum brothers; William H Evans, George D Evans, and Robert Evans.
She is survived by; her children, Lavonne M. Hart, Tallassee, AL Gina M. Tillery (Ken), Newton, AL, Major Robert D. Mangum (Gina), Anniston, AL, Irene S. Mangum, Montgomery, AL, and Mary Joe Gallagher, Spring Hill, TN; sister, Charlotte Lamb, Tucker, GA; grandchildren, Meredith K. Mangum, Brooke M. Rolling (Gary), Seth D. Hart (Ginger), Micah N. Hart, WO1 Joel J. Hart (Racheal), Miriam H. Nicholson (Jeremy), Caleb P. Hart, Esther E. Hart, SPC Andrew I. Hart, Josie M. Coffman (Drew), 1LT William D. Mangum (Leah), A1C Virginia G. Mangum, Mercy M. Mangum, William P. Brunson Tillery, and Shane J. Tillery; great grandchildren: Reed Mangum, Reagan Rolling, Riley Hart, Weston Hart, Olivia Hart, Patrick Hart, Tyler Hart, Mark Hart, Carter Hart, Alton Hart, and Jared Nicholson. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
A time of visitation will be held Friday, May 28, 2021, from 6-8 p.m. at Evangel Church, 3975 Vaughn Rd., Montgomery, AL. A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, May 29, 2021 at 10:00 a.m. at Evangel Church, 3975 Vaughn Road, Montgomery, AL.
