James Alan Sharp

James Alan Sharp, age 40, passed away Friday, April 23, 2021 in Dothan, Alabama. He was born October 19, 1980 to David and Rosalee Sharp Gingras in Naples, Florida. James had a big heart and he loved people; you could see it in the way he interacted with others, he never met a stranger, and his smile would light up the room. Hunting and fishing were some of his favorite hobbies but spending time with his family, especially his son Austin, brought him the most joy. You could even say he loved Austin more than life itself: this became evident when he took on the role as a single dad.  Bubba, as he was affectionately known, always dressed in his favorite color, Camo! He enjoyed country music and rooting for his favorite team, The Florida Gators. Bubba will be dearly missed.     

James is survived by his parents, David and Rosalee Gingras; one son, Austin Sharp; two sisters, Debra Miller and husband Joe, and Amber Beeler; two uncles, Terry Brantley and wife, Jenny and James Burton and wife, Debbie Burton; three nephews, JohnDavid Miller, Wyatt Miller and Ethan Rafter; two nieces, Luci Rafter and Lily Sheffield; two cousins, Eva and Henery Brantley; family, Naomi Sheffield, Jamie Sheffield, and Matthew Smith; Fiancé, Ashliegh Thomas, and her son Brayden Hughes.

Funeral services will be held Friday, April 30th, 2021 at Watermark Church, 103 Elmer Road Ashford, Alabama 36312, beginning at 1:00 p.m. with Pastor Todd Thorpe officiating.  A time of visitation will be held one hour prior.
