Jerry Driggers, age 64, passed away Monday, April 1, 2019 in Samson, Alabama. He was born January 8, 1955 in Coffee County, Alabama to Albert and Johnnie Mae Henderson Driggers. Jerry-Coe as he was affectionately known by his family and friends, was an avid outdoors man; he loved hunting, fishing and bird watching. Even when his health would not allow him to go outside, he would watch the outdoor channels on television. Jerry will always be remembered as a loving husband, father, and grandfather, and will be truly missed by all who knew him.
Jerry is preceded in death by his parents; four brothers, Robert Earl Driggers, Johnny Mac Driggers, Dewey Frank Driggers, and Gary Driggers; five sisters, Vivian Baxley, Sue Ann Sodini, Glenda Faye Kelley, Frances Driggers, and Merle Winnie.
Jerry is survived by his loving wife of 35 years, Teresa Ann Jones Driggers; two sons, Jeremy Driggers and wife, Rebecca and Jeffrey Driggers and wife, Brittany; one granddaughter Annabel Driggers; and one grandson, River Driggers.
The family would like to send a special thank you to Kindred Hospice and Pastor Chris Adams for their care and compassion, as well as many others who helped and supported them through the difficult time of Jerry’s illness. Thank you so much.
