Judy Lynn Jacobson

Judy Lynn Jacobson, age 62, passed away Wednesday, September 1, 2021 in Hartford, Alabama. She was born May 16,1959 in La-Porte, Indiana to Melvin and Orla Green Joschko. Judy had a sincere love for people, especially her grandchildren, and was truly a kid at heart. She brought joy wherever she went, and her dedication to her patients was evident throughout her 30-year career as a nurse. J.J., as she was affectionally known, also loved caring for animals, listening to music, and keeping in touch with her friends through her computer.       

She is preceded in death by her parents, Melvin Richard Joschko, and Orla Mabel Joschko nee Green; mother-in-law, Mary Julia Jacobson nee Korbicka; father-in-law, James Neil Jacobson; brother-in-law, Richard Neil Jacobson, and grandson, Evan James Jacobson.

Judy is survived by her husband, James Morris Jacobson; three sons, Eric William Jacobson, Michael Peter Jacobson and Samuel Reid Jacobson; one daughter, Jamie Marie Jacobson; one granddaughter, Emily Noelle Jacobson; one brother, Richard Allen Joschko; two sisters, Cindy Kay Sutton nee Joschko, Patricia Ann Pray nee Joschko; two brothers-in-law, Ronald Sutton and Jeff Pray; two sisters-in-law, Margaret Ann Sanyal nee Jacobson, and Nela Marie Jacobson; and daughter-in-law, Andrea Ruth Branigan. Judy will be missed by all those who loved her.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, September 9, 2021 in the chapel of Magnolia Funeral Home, 507 West Main Street, Hartford, Alabama 36344, beginning at 2 p.m. with Minister Joel Davis officiating.  A time of visitation will be held one hour prior to the service.
